What we use your membership for
EMILY's List needs the support of women all around Australia to ensure that we continue to provide a high level of training, mentoring and financial support to progressive Labor women candidates.
With your help, we can continue to provide:
- Crucial Early Money funding to candidates;
- Quality training on media, campaigning methods and campaigning as a woman, targetted to the needs of women candidates;
- Commissioned Gender Gap Research to focus campaigns on issues important to women;
- Support for our mentoring network which provides a one-on-one mentor to all candidates supported by EMILY's List
- Support for our volunteer network which raises over $70,000 each year for the campaigns of progressive Labor women
In eight years, the financial contribution of our members has helped to elect 102 new Labor women to Parliaments around the country.
All members receive regular updates on candidates, election campaigns and issues important to women around the country and around the world.
Each state has a vibrant Action Group to shape EMILY's List's volunteer network, run fundraising events and organize needs-based training for candidates.
