Donate to Michaela Settle for Buninyong
Michaela Settle is the 2018 Victorian state election candidate for Buninyong. She spent her early career in marketing and communications in the arts industry in Sydney and London. The decision to have children brought her back to the family farm in regional Victoria in 2001. For ten years, she worked the farm, raised two boys and owned and managed a winery. In 2011, as a single mum she moved to Ballarat. She struggled to re-enter the workforce and manage the demands of raising children on her own. She retrained, gaining a TAFE Diploma and a BA (Sociology) and entered politics to fight for those in our community that need our support. In 2014, she worked on Sharon Knight’s campaign to win Wendouree and in 2016, as campaign manager for Libby Coker’s fight for Corangamite. Most recently, Ishereturned to marketing and communications for Ballarat Community Health which gave her a greater insight into many of the wellbeing and social issues facing our community. She volunteers for the Breakfast Club at Sebastopol Primary School and is a CFA volunteer.
“It’s time to give back to my community. I’ve lived in regional Victoria for most of my life and I want to fight to make sure that everyone gets the same opportunities, no matter where they live.”
Michaela Settle is being mentored by Kay Setches, former Victorian MP.
