In these challenging times many miss the late Joan Kirner’s wise counsel and inspiration. The 3rd annual 'What Would Joan Kirner Do?' event will feature a panel of progressive women leaders who will share their thoughts and what they believe Joan would want us to do as a feminist movement. Special guests Jacinta Allan MP, Victorian Minister for Transport Infrastructure, and Azmeena Hussain, Partner at Maurice Blackburn Lawyers. Also announcing Jana Stewart, Mutthi Mutthi and Wamba Wamba woman and Senior Adviser to the Treaty Process will be stepping in for Jill Gallagher AO who unfortunately can no longer attend.
The event will be emceed by Sonya Kilkenny MP, Member for Carrum and EMILY's List Victoria Co-Convenor, and the panel discussion will be facilitated by Dimity Paul, a Senior Manager at a top 20 ASX listed Energy Company working with Government and Community Stakeholders and a previous Chief of Staff in both Federal and State Labor Governments. Funds raised will go towards the Joan Kirner Gender Gap Research Fund to enable cutting edge, evidence based campaigning to women.
