The award for an emerging activist 2020 was presented to Fatima Payman.
Fatima is the Secretary of the Race and Ethnic Equality in Labor Branch and an active member in the WA Labor Branch.
She is one of six young West Australians chosen to participate in the Emerging Leaders in the Developing Communities initiative supported by WA Police. She was President of the UWA Muslim Student Association and Mentor at Uni Mentor.
A determined young woman that is passionate and compassionate in the advocacy she undertakes to see a better community in WA.
