FNELA are conducting a survey of First Nations women to capture the hurdles faced by First Nations women as they engage in changes to benefit their community.
We want to understand how we can get more First Nations women to consider and explore leadership in a safe and welcoming environment.
This survey will help us develop a program for encouraging, training, supporting and mentoring First Nations women into elected office in Australia. We want to find the specific obstacles and barriers First Nations women face so that we can find suitable support systems to overcome them. The First Nations program will be built and delivered for interested First Nations women using information from this survey and further consultations.
