Tamika Hicks for Broadwater
Tamika is a proud Gold Coast local, who will always stand up for the many, not just the few. With a passion for child development, she has worked in the early childhood sector for over 20 years as an educator, TAFE teacher, small business owner, and advocate.
Tamika knows how important Labor Governments are for people doing it tough. She is the daughter of factory workers who grew up in social housing and was a single mother who experienced the struggle of raising young children while working two jobs. She proudly stands with the New Miles Labor Government, who are delivering real cost-of-living relief, better access to healthcare, and strong investments in education, including free Kindy and free TAFE.
The thought of returning an LNP government, with their track record of sacking frontline workers, empty promises of better healthcare, and the risk to women’s rights is reason she has chosen to stand up for her community.
As the representative for Broadwater, she will work to maintain and extend the best health care services, well-resourced schools and nearby TAFE. She will fight for ongoing investment in local small business to ensure they continue to grow and thrive in order to provide the jobs and opportunities needed for school leavers.

Claire Carlin for Burleigh
Having lived on the Gold Coast for nearly 20 years, Claire has had a diverse career spanning non-profits, small business, craft beer and the arts. Listening to and giving back to the community has always been at the centre of everything she does.
She is deeply passionate about delivering for her community, focusing on reducing cost-of-living pressures, delivering affordable housing, protecting the natural environment, preventing family and domestic violence, and ensuring a fair and equitable education system and childcare for all Queenslanders.
Claire knows our New Miles Labor Government won’t leave anyone behind and has a proven track record of doing what matters for Queensland.
The Burleigh community has been forgotten by the LNP, and Claire is ready to fight for them. She is not your typical politician; she is a real and genuine person who has worked hard for a living and is ready to represent the beautiful Southern Gold Coast, the place she calls home.

Lisa O’Donnell for Chatsworth
Lisa O’Donnell is a dedicated mum of three and a senior mathematics teacher who knows the challenges of raising a family and managing a household budget. Having lived on the Southside for over 19 years Lisa witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of the Newman LNP government’s rash decision to sack over 14,000 government workers, including teachers, nurses, and ambulance staff. As the parent of a patient at the Children’s Hospital, Lisa observed the damaging effects of these cuts on hospital staff and services, which not only compromised the access to her daughter’s care but also took a toll on the wider economy including many local small businesses. Lisa fears the LNP has not learned from its past mistakes and may be set to repeat them.
The experiences from when the LNP was last in Government fuelled Lisa’s commitment to fighting for better policies that prioritise people and community needs. As a parent and teacher, she understands the importance of providing quality health services, investing in infrastructure, and creating training opportunities for the relevant jobs of the future.
Lisa is also a passionate advocate for sustainable policies and climate action. She supports the urgent need to address climate change and understands the importance of transitioning to renewable energy sources, promoting conservation, and investing in green technologies for a sustainable future.

Belle Brookfield for Clayfield
I’m Belle Brookfield, your fresh voice for Brisbane’s Inner North.
Cost of Living Action
Belle understands that cost of living pressures are at the front of mind for Northside locals at the moment. She is proud to be a part of the Miles Labor Team which is taking action on the cost of living by delivering $1,000 energy rebates, 20% off car rego, $200 Fair Play vouchers for kids’ sport and making 50 cent fares permanent.
Passionate about Climate Action
Climate change is the biggest challenge facing my generation. Working at the CSIRO, I learnt the critical importance of our clean energy transition to Queensland’s economy and future jobs. Only Labor has a plan to replace coal-fired power with publicly owned renewables. And that’s why I’m proud to be your Labor candidate.
Albion Renter
Throughout my life, I’ve lived in multiple rentals and I am currently renting in Albion. I understand how uncertain and challenging it can be to live in a rental because I’ve been through it. Labor has taken action to strengthen renters’ rights, including banning rent bidding, introducing minimum standards and limiting rent increases. And if elected, I’ll advocate for further reforms for renters.
Our Body, Our Choice
I’m so proud to be a part of the Labor team that enshrined a woman’s right to choose in law. Unfortunately, at this election, David Crisafulli’s LNP team are strongly anti-reproductive rights and attend anti-choice rallies. In 2018, he and 28 other LNP members voted against a woman’s right to choose. Women have a right to choose, and I know that only Labor will protect our right to make decisions about our own bodies.

Michelle knows the struggles of patients, their families and healthcare workers. That’s why she’s standing up to support Labor’s ambitious plan to make sure every Queenslander can access better healthcare, closer to home.
As your representative for Everton, Michelle will fight for a better, fairer Queensland and protect her community from the LNP’s attack on public health services.

Irene got straight to work advocating for better services for her local area after she and her husband moved to the Redlands area nearly 20 years ago. As a mum, grandma and community activist, Irene knows how important cost of living relief is to those in the community.
Coming from a strong working-class family, Irene wants to be part of a new Miles Labor Government that will continue to do what matters for Queenslanders like taking $1000 off every household’s electricity bill, reducing rego by 20%, and expanding eligibility and access to FairPlay vouchers to reduce the cost of kids’ sport.
A priority for Irene is better healthcare for families, having worked as a nurse for over 30 years. She knows only Labor has an ambitious plan to ensure the community has access to better healthcare closer to home, including a new satellite hospital that opened in Redlands last year.
