Magenta Marshall, Candidate for Rockingham
Hi! I'm Magenta Marshall, Labor's candidate for Rockingham in the 29 July by-election.
I'm Rockingham born and bred and now live in Waikiki with my husband Jake, who's a teacher.
I've spent the last six years working in or alongside the McGowan Labor Government as an electorate officer and organiser.

I was the first in my family to go to university (or finish year 12) and have a degree in Asian Studies and Politics and International Relations from Murdoch University. During my studies, I spent a semester abroad studying at Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and taught English at a local school.
I'm passionate about sports, and a keen soccer player. My first job was at the Rockingham Football Club, and I'm now a member of the Baldivis Football Club where I'm the Assistant Coach for the women's team and a youth mentor. I also previously coached the all abilities junior team.
I look forward to meeting you and the opportunity to represent our great community in the WA Parliament.
